Then came the anti-tobacco advocates and DOH, armed with the legalities stated under Republic Act 9211, also known as Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003, for prohibiting tobacco companies to sponsor any sports, cultural, and artistic events of individual or team athletes, artists and performers.
Then rumors stated that the concert will no longer push thru as Philip Morris and its brands have pulled out from the concert. This has brought a lot of negative feedbacks especially those who have painstakingly registered at the Marlboro site for the chance to win passes for the Eraserheads concert.
But as I am ready to give up my plans to attend the event, I came across some blogs that announced that the concert will STILL push thru but will no longer be free. The rumor was based from an email supposedly sent by Eraserheads drummer, Raimund Marasigan himself, to the members of his Sandwich fans mailing list.

Subject: [subsandwich] eraserheads aug 30 08 confirmed
dear everybody
after much ado. the eraserheads concert is most definitely pushing through.
philip morris and its brands have pulled out from the concert. but another company is taking over the production. the turn over started yesterday and they have already started work on the site in the fort.
so you can check.
there are good news and bad news.
unfortunately its no longer free. all the long winded registration procedures in the red nation site is now void.
the good news is that the age limit is now 12 years old (for safety reasons)and tickets will be sold so you dont have to wait for confirmation and what not.
the official announcement and ticketing details will come out in major newspapers and on the radio on tuesday.
these are the only details i know for now so no need to email me. im just the drummer.
btw. i just got home from the last rehearsal. the band is cooking. we will see you all on the 30th.
And from what I have read, the general admission will cost you PhP 1,500. So what does these news hold for those who got the Red List Invite as pictured above? Does it mean their FREE tickets will no longer be valid?
According to the PEP site, the concert venue has been moved to the open-air venue at The Fort, Taguig to accomodate all those who were able to purchase the elusive tickets. More details will be announced today, August 26, in local radio, newspapers and other media outlets, said Marasigan.
If the concert will indeed push thru on August 30th, then that only leaves us roughly 4 days to get our hands on those damn tickets. Until the full details and official announcements have been made, we have no choice but to wait. And I think this gives us fair chance to see the Eheads reunion, better than waiting like forever for free tickets in an online site.
