3 Filipino made Oscar history today for winning the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film with their movie "God of Love".
Stefanie Walmsley, Stephen Dypiangco and Gigi Dement produced the 18-minute short film Directed, starred and written by Luke Matheny.
The film follows "a love-struck, lounge-singing darts champion (who) finds his prayers answered when he receives a package of passion-inducing darts."
Stefanie used to be a child star in the Philippines and former host of the Philippine longest running noontime show, Eat Bulaga.
""Gods of Love" Also won the gold medal at the Student Academy Awards of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. It was also recognized by the National Board of Review, the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, the Flickerfest Festival in Australia, and the Angelus Student Film Festival in Hollywood.
