Charice’s showdown with Lea Michele in glee season 2 teaser

Filipino singing sensation Charice is featured in the new promotional video for “Glee,” which demonstrates her “killer vocals” getting in the nerves of cast regular Lea Michele.
In the minute-and-a-half promo clip for the hit US show’s second season, Charice, playing a foreign exchange Filipino student named Sunshine Corazon, and Lea, playing the New Directions' domineering diva Rachel Berry, battle it out with Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” in---of all places---the bathroom. Sue Sylvester (played by Jane Lynch) cuts short the showdown, screaming “shut up!” to the two girls.
Charice will debut on “Glee” via season’s pilot episode “Auditions” on Sept. 21.
In the episode, New Directions mentor William Schuester (Matthew Morrison) and the rest, recruit new members after they lose in the Regionals. The defeat constrained them to be put on on a tight budget even as they are heckled by other McKinley High School students.
“We have to go from a small rebel force to a giant wall of sound,” says Mr. Schu, as shown in the trailer. Apart from Charice, Chord Overstreet will be introduced as another addition to the group. He plays Sam Evans, Finn's (Cory Monteith) protégé-turned-rival.
Still-unconfirmed reports have it that Charice will sing Tina Arena’s “Burn” on the show. Other songs rumored to be performed on the first episode include “Goodbye My Lover,” “Open Your Eyes (To Love),” “Come Back To Me,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” “Tubthumping,” “Billionaire” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.”
The promo video also showed the cast singing Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ patriotic anthem “Empire State Of Mind,” as the Nationals are said to be held in New York City.
“Glee” creator Ryan Murphy said in an interview that “Auditions” is about “the idea that everybody’s daily life is an audition for something.”
